Inban Octagonal Deep Dish

About the Copperplate Transfer Technique

For this plate, the design is transferred from paper printed on Japanese washi using a pigment called Gosu onto the unglazed ceramic surface. Because the process is carried out by hand, variations in the printed design are to be expected.
