Some things just make you smile the moment you see them. Our new Julie Richard ceramic planters are exactly that: tiny handmade pieces inspired by vintage campers, vans, coffee shops, and little everyday scenes.

Handmade and decorated in Montréal, each piece has its own character. Julie creates every planter by hand, from shaping the clay slabs to drawing and painting the details in custom colours. The result is a collection of charming little ceramics that feel right at home on a desk, shelf, windowsill, or beside your favourite books.

Handmade, One of a Kind

Every planter starts with clay slabs assembled from an original pattern. Once the clay has dried, Julie hand-draws and paints each piece before it is fired, glazed on the inside, and fired again.

Because each one is made by hand, you may notice little variations in the shape, colours, or painted details. We think those small differences are part of the charm. No two pieces are exactly alike.

The collection includes adorable campers, vans, a little coffee shop, a goldfish bowl, a red pickup, and even a row of colourful houses. Each one has its own personality, making it easy to find a piece that feels like it belongs in your space.

More Than Just a Planter

These little ceramics aren't only for plants. The planters can also be used as charming containers for small treasures, stationery bits, or other everyday things you want to keep close by. The ceramic is food-safe, too, so there are plenty of ways to make them your own.

If you're using one as a planter, keep in mind that there are no drainage holes. Adding a small layer of pebbles to the bottom before the soil can help with excess water and keep your plant happy.
